I am pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (FKK UMJ). In these early years of the 21st century, FKK UMJ has enjoyed unprecendedted growth and prestige, and there is more to come. The bright future at FKK UMJ continues through innovative primary care initiatives in all the medical and health specialities, and also cutting edge basic and translational research among medicine, public health, and midwifery fields, all made possible by our tremendous faculty and students.
FKK UMJ has always been a leader in cutting edge educational initiatives, having pioneered problem based learning and an educational prosses based on information and technology. This comprehensive tools has been used by medical schools and health care institutions all over Indonesia, especially in Jakarta.
In recent years, our faculty has become an even better place to pursue both medical and health education. With provided by moderized, a redesigned curriculum based on competencies which introduces early clinical experiences, and new academic parternship with local and global university, we are concerned to the future in advance. Thanks to the generosity of the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital as our hospital teaching, either allied private or public hospital, and public health centre, students now participate in learning communities that bring together small groups of students and their advisors to enhance personal attention and sense of community within the larger both medical and health environment. Furthermore, we also provide new educational and student facilities, including a fully equipped computer based test (CBT) center, clinical skills and simulation center.
FKK UMJ’s numeorus global cooperation are a source of great pride to the medical and health community. Partnership include institutions in Australia, Thailand, India, and England. Many of our students travel abroad to learn and to contribute in research competition. Exposure to these experiences enrinches their knowledge and skill as well.
FKK achievements are a gratitude to the University, our faculty, our students, our staff, and our alumni as well. We select each new entering class with the intent of ensuring that we will train tomorrowmedical and health leader, secure in the knowledge that they will be well prepared to practice their chosen specialties and to meet the needs of the public.
